20TPH Tungsten Ore Processing Plant in Korea

Published Date:26 February 2018

Sortek Group has supplied a full set of crushing plant, gravity beneficiation plant and flotation separation plant for the 20TPH rock tungsten ore processing plant to its Korean customer.

This tungsten processing plant has a handling capacity of 20 tons per hour. The raw material is in stone form, and the wolfram minerals contain arsenic.

Sortek Group Mine Machinery Factory designed the flow chart according to the customer’s tungsten ore conditions and arranged Chief Engineer Mr. Lee to the mine site to provide guidance on equipment installation and commissioning.

Tungsten Mining Process Equipment

  • 1) 1 set of jaw crusher: for crushing large-sized stones into small stones.

  • 2) 1 set of ball mill: for grinding small stones into fine materials (minus 1 mm).

  • 3) Spiral chute: for rough concentration of heavy minerals after ball milling.

  • 4) Gold shaking table: the concentrated ore from the spiral chute is sent here for separation.

  • 5) Flotation cell: for removing arsenic through flotation.

Tungsten Processing Flow

The mined tungsten ore is initially crushed by a jaw crusher. After being crushed to a reasonable fineness, it is uniformly fed into a ball mill via a hoist and a feeder, where the ore is further crushed and ground.

After grinding by the ball mill, the fine ore enters the next process: classification. A spiral classifier, based on the principle that solid particles of different proportions have different precipitation rates in liquid, washes and classifies the ore mixture.

When the washed and classified mineral mixture passes through a magnetic separator, magnetic materials in the mixture are separated by magnetic force and mechanical force due to the different specific magnetization coefficients of various minerals.

The mineral particles initially separated by the magnetic separator are sent to a flotation machine. According to the characteristics of different minerals, different reagents are added to separate the target minerals from other substances.

After the target minerals are separated, since they contain a large amount of water, they must first be concentrated by a thickener and then dried by a dryer to obtain dried minerals.
